As part of Brighton Photo Biennial in October 2014, Lighthouse presented Family Fakes – a one-day public exhibition of animations, photographs and other works created by students as part of the Looking into the Family Album project. The exhibition was accompanied by drop in workshops for families led by the students themselves.
Students from the two academies who had taken part in the project came into the city centre for the day to see their work, and celebrate their achievements. The students had the chance to visit some of the other Biennial exhibitions. They also got the chance to see their work presented on huge light boxes in Jubilee Square, and were awarded certificates of achievement for their work on the project. The day included drop-in activities for families who were invited to make their own digital and lo-fi family portraits to take away with them.
